Board Exams Will Be Held Twice A Year: The New Curriculum Framework
The Ministry of Education has stated that board exams will henceforth take place biannually as part of its new curriculum structure, giving students the chance to take tests twice in a calendar year.
Notably, pupils will benefit from keeping their best score from all of their tries.
The following characteristics are part of the new curriculum framework:
Board exams will be given twice a year, giving students two chances to pass and the chance to save their top score.
Students in classes 11 and 12 will have the freedom to choose their studies without being constrained by streams.
In Grades 11 and 12, students are required to learn two languages, one of which must be an Indian language.
Exams will test candidates’ understanding of and competence in skills they have learned via months of instruction and memorization.
Because the curriculum is in line with the National Education Policy, new textbooks can be introduced for the 2024 academic year.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remarks on the Joint Workshop of National Curriculum Framework Oversight and the NSTC Committee, “Under the direction of Kasturirangan, the steering committee has produced the curriculum for the new National Education Policy. They bowed down to the authorities. The NCERT received it from the government. The National Oversight Committee and the National Syllabus and Textbook Committee (NSTC) are the two bodies established by NCERT. We anticipate that both of these groups will create a curriculum that is grounded in ancient Indian thought and meets the demands of the twenty-first century.
We want them to create cutting-edge educational materials for grades three through twelve. Today was the first orientation session. We are convinced that the new textbooks would meet those needs at a time when the world is expecting a lot from India and when the PM has Shown the nation the dream of Amrut Kal,” the education minister continued.
