After Delhi, Ahmedabad schools get bomb threat mail; a probe is underway
Parents, students, and authorities in Ahmedabad became increasingly concerned after receiving bomb threat emails from multiple schools, following a similar incident that occurred in Delhi.
With great urgency, Gujarat Police started a deep investigation to find the individuals who sent the menacing emails. To ensure the safety of the buildings and to investigate the area around the targeted schools, officers have been sent.
In an attempt to calm the community, officials have implemented strict security measures in response to the disconcerting trend, which has produced a surge in worry among youngsters and their parents. Similar threats were sent by email to about 80 schools in the capital city, according to information previously provided by the Delhi police. According to reports, the person who sent the menacing emails is thought to be based in Russia.
According to TV reports, teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and state police are aggressively looking into the impacted areas. This incident in Ahmedabad is similar to what happened recently in the Delhi-NCR region, where a few days ago, bomb threats were made against multiple institutions.
