Mumbai Has Placed Section 144 Prohibition Orders In Effect Through January 18
The Mumbai Police Declared On Wednesday That Section 144 Prohibitory Orders Will Continue To Be In Effect Throughout The City Until January 18.
The Limitations Include A 30-Day Ban On The Flying Of Hot Air Balloons, Hand Gliders, Paragliders, Paramotors, Drones, And Remote-Controlled Microlight Aircraft Over The City.
According To News Agency PTI, The Deputy Commissioner Of Police (Operations) May Specifically Authorize In Writing The Flying Of Such Objects For The Purpose Of Aerial Surveillance.
According To The Police, Section 144 Of The Code Of Criminal Procedure (Crpc) Was Used To Issue The Prohibitory Order, Which Will Be In Effect From December 20, 2023, To January 18, 2024.
As Per The Directive, Terrorist And Anti-National Elements Are Likely To Target Vvips And Put The Public In Danger By Using Drones, Paragliders, And Other Similar Devices In Their Attacks.
The Order Is Placed A Few Days Before The City’s Widely Attended Christmas And New Year’s Celebrations.
