India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad has been announced by the BCCI.

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the Indian team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
The biennial competition, which takes place every two years, will feature 55 matches spread across the Caribbean and the United States between June 1 and June 29.
Nine teams total will compete for the coveted trophy in the T20 World Cup 2024. The teams will be split into four groups of five teams each. In the Super 8, the top two teams from each of the four groups advance and are divided into two groups of four teams each. The T20 World Cup 2024 will conclude with two semi-finals and the grand final, which will take place at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, with the top two teams from each of the two Super 8 groups advancing to the knockout stage.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Group A includes India, their bitter rivals Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and one of the hosts, the United States of America. On June 5, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in East Meadow, New York, the USA, they will play their opening match against Ireland.
Notably, in the last 17 years, the Indian cricket team has failed to repeat its heroics from its 2007 victory in the inaugural T20 World Cup.
The previous T20 World Cup was held in Australia in 2022, when India lost to eventual victors England by 10 wickets in the semi-final. There will be a lot of pressure on skipper Rohit Sharma and the other players to do well this time around because Team India hasn’t won an ICC trophy at the senior level in the last ten or so years.
Here is India’s squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024:
Rohit Sharma (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya (vc), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
