
Today, PM Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir to oversee the celebrations of International Yoga Day

On June 21 (Friday), Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to speak to the public and take part in a yoga session at the International Day of Yoga in Srinagar.
On June 20 and 21, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced in a statement. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to attend the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ event on June 20 at approximately 6 p.m. at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.
At their inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will lay the cornerstone for a number of development initiatives in J&K. The announcement said he would also present the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Programme, or JKCIP.
The prime minister is scheduled to attend the 10th International Day of Yoga on June 21 at approximately 6:30 a.m. at SKICC in Srinagar. He’s scheduled to address the gathering on the occasion after the yoga practice, the release said.
This year’s Yoga Day event emphasizes the profound impact yoga has on young people’s bodies and brains. Through yoga practice, the festival hopes to unite thousands of individuals and promote health and wellbeing on a global scale.
Under Prime Minister Modi’s direction, International Day of Yoga (IDY) events have been held since 2015 at the UN Headquarters in New York, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Mysuru, and Delhi’s Kartavya Path.
